Posted in News on March 25, 2008 by stuffofjarmoSilent times stops now
Posted in 1st things 1st, News, Randomness on March 18, 2008 by stuffofjarmoI’ts been a slow start. Starting today, there will be updates on, if not every day, at least there’ll be every other day something to post about. I have been busy working and while not working I usually been sleeping or reading… now I have gotten myself a schedule for working on my comic-project.
Those who have followed my dA-page know about this already and you are going to find out soon enough some more details.
I do have some exciting content to provide soon too. Interviews of webcomic artists! Sketches! Podcast stuff and some important news too. Just wait 1-2 days and it’ll come to you!
Shhhh…
PvP and many projects
Posted in Comics, Geek talk Nerd walk, Linky linky, News, Talkcast/livecast/podcast on December 2, 2007 by stuffofjarmoOkay. This is about first and last time I’ll praise PvP – The Daily Web Comic Strip (otherwise there wouldn’t be end for my praises). It is created by Scott Kurzt and the strip is just awesome. The strip has been developed as a separate animation, there are several podcasts concentrated for things around the strip, webcomics and all fun stuff in life.
Kurtz’s partner in crime is Kristofer Straub creator of Starslip Crisis another great webcomic. Collaborating in those several podcasts and PvP animation in the Halfpixel office they have created a world of fun for me and many many others and continue doing it. I just hope Kris & Scott don’t burn themselves up doing these sideprojects. There are so many of them that it’s hard to keep up with them.
Latest sideproject is Kurt’z podcast Webcomics Confidential. Very good and informative podcast he is planning to do weekly (hopefully this stays true but I do understand if not) and in episode #1 he’s chatting Tyler Martin creator of Wally and Osborne webcomic. There’s also lots of talking about ComicPress, a cool WordPress theme designed for publishing comics in the internet and in the WordPress blogs etc. – check it out.
Conclusion? Yes, do read PvP, at least go check it out, listen their podcasts and support the animation if you can – I guarantee you’ll be in the world of Fun after doing this. I just hope these guys keep doing the thing they do, enjoy doing it and keeping us entertained and not bury themselves to all these sideprojects which keep popping up every once in a while.
Pop-Culture Planet! – Episode 6 was 100% pure gold!
Posted in Comics, Geek talk Nerd walk, News, Randomness, Talkcast/livecast/podcast on November 24, 2007 by stuffofjarmoOkay. I didn’t make it to co-host or even listen Ben’s Pop-Culture Planet! -talkcast. Topic or subject of the show was Ultimate Spider-Man and Ultimate Fantastic Four.
Special guest: Jaime Mendoza. Marvel inker of comics mentioned just few words ago =) very cool show and VERY informative. So, those who love comics, arts or are wondering about the job of the inker(s)… listen that episode 6 of Pop-Culture Planet! You can download it at Talkshoe.com.
Early “IT’S HAPPENING!!!OHMYGOD!!!” news
Posted in 1st things 1st, News, Randomness, Talkcast/livecast/podcast on November 12, 2007 by stuffofjarmoHowdy.
I just got an email reply from Daniel Dociu himself that I can indeed interview him. Interview is happening via Talkshoe ’cause that’s what he wants to use even he hasn’t used it before but he said he should figure it out somehow. So, when December is here interview grows closer and closer.
I have kept this secret ’cause there’s no reason to reveal things that might not be happening at all but heck… this is happening people!
If you don’t know this person? Romanian-born concept-artist Daniel Dociu? In a nutshell I can tell you that he is an art director at ArenaNet. He’s involved in games like GuildWars and Half-Life 2.
School shooting in Finland :(

This is really sad. I live in Finland. It struck me and I think most of people living in this country. My thoughts are with the families of victims and those who survived. God bless the dead and the living. This is a sad day… God bless you all.
